Advantages of suitable density

The density of biomass briquettes is controlled in the standard range, so that the finished products are compact and uniform, and are not fragile or powdery, and the transportation and storage losses are lower; The fuel structure is compact, the calorific value is more concentrated and the combustion time is longer. Reasonable molding pressure can also protect the stable operation of biomass briquette machine and avoid long-term overload operation of equipment.

Disadvantages of high density

1. The combustion effect becomes worse

If the briquette is pressed too tightly, the internal pores are too small, the air permeability is poor, the oxygen supply is insufficient, and it is easy to ignite slowly, emit black smoke and leave carbon cores, but the combustion is not sufficient.

2. Accelerate equipment wear and tear

In order to forcibly extrude ultra-high density, biomass briquette making machine needs continuous high-load extrusion, the friction between screw, sleeve and die increases sharply, the wear rate of wearing parts doubles, and the power consumption and maintenance cost increase significantly.

3. The finished product is easy to crack

High pressure forming will make the internal stress of the briquette too large, and longitudinal cracks will easily appear after cooling, which will affect the appearance and use of the finished product.

Industry reasonable density reference

Optimum density of biomass briquette: 1.0–1.2g/cm.

Below 1.0: The finished product is loose, easy to drop slag, and the storage and transportation loss is large.

1.0–1.2: Stable molding, good combustion, low equipment loss and the highest comprehensive benefit.

Above 1.2: Ultra-high density has no practical advantage, and will only increase the workload of biomass briquette machine.

There is no need to blindly pursue high density in the production of biomass briquettes. In order to give consideration to the quality of finished products and the service life of equipment, it is only necessary to control the granularity and moisture content of raw materials, cooperate with the standard pressure operation of biomass briquette machine, and stabilize the density in a reasonable range, so as to achieve high yield, low consumption and optimal combustion effect.
