How long can charcoal burns?

Charcoal produced by briquette machine has the advantages of uniform shape, large density, good thermal conductivity, high calorific value, flammable, smoke-free, no explosion, tasteless, non-toxic, less ash residue, high burning rate, environmental protection, etc. When burning, there is no smoke. It becomes white ash after burning,. The full combustion time is 3-5 hours. When burning, the highest temperature can be 800 degrees.

The calorific value of charcoal is directly related to the carbonization temperature and heat preservation time. Generally speaking, if the carbonization temperature is high and the heat preservation time is long, the carbon content and calorific value of charcoal produced by briquette machine would also be higher. When the carbonization temperature is less than 450℃, the calorific value of charcoal made by wood and its leftover material is usually 6500 ~ 7000kcal/kg. When the carbonization temperature is higher than 600℃, the calorific value can be improved by 500 ~ 1000 calories.

The carbonization process is the last and the most important step of making charcoal. In the process of carbonization with carbonizing furnace, the quality of charcoal produced would be influenced by the position of briquettes in carbonizing furnace. In order to make the briquettes carbonized evenly, the operator should put the briquettes uniformly, and set aside the space of about 50-100mm near the briquettes to make briquettes better released, reduce damage of vapor on briquettes so that the briquettes can be better heated and carbonized.
